Ucore Announces Board Changes

(Halifax, N.S.) Ucore Uranium Inc. (“Ucore” or the “Company”, TSX-V: UCU) wishes to announce that Dr. Jaroslav Dostal, Ph.D., P.Geo., has agreed to join the board of directors. Dr. Dostal is Professor Emeritus of Geology at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax . He has over 35 years experience in geology, ore deposit studies, and geochemistry. He has published more than 250 scientific papers, and is a widely acknowledged expert on tin and uranium mineralization in granitoids, mobility of uranium in metamorphic and volcanic rocks, and the use of trace elements in the search for volcanogenic massive sulfide deposits. He is the recipient of the 2005 Career Achievement Award of the Volcanology and Igneous Petrology Division of the Geological Association of Canada and the 2007 Gesner Medal for Distinguished Scientist of the Atlantic Geoscience Society. 

The Company also wishes to announce the resignation of Dr. Denis Ryan as a director of the company and chairman of the audit committee for personal reasons. Dr. Ryan has been a director of the corporation since its inception. Management and the board of the company wish to thank him for the significant contribution he has made to the company to date. Mr. Brian MacEachen will replace Dr. Ryan as the Chairman of the Audit Committee.
