About Ucore Rare Metals

What does Ucore Rare Metals do?

Ucore Rare Metals is focused on rare and critical metal resources, extraction, beneficiation, and separation technologies. The company’s near-term strategy is centered on commercializing RapidSX™ rare earth separation technology and developing rare earth processing infrastructure in North America, including the planned Louisiana Strategic Metals Complex.

From rare earth resources to rare earth processing

Ucore was founded in 2006 and has evolved into a rare earth technology and processing company with a focus on refining, oxide production, and strategic supply chain development. The company acquired Innovation Metals Corp. in 2020 and is commercializing its proprietary RapidSXâ„¢ critical metals separation technology.

Ucore’s strategy is designed to address one of the most important bottlenecks in the rare earth supply chain: the ability to separate mixed rare earth feedstocks into individual rare earth oxides that downstream manufacturers can evaluate, qualify, and use.

Commercializing RapidSXâ„¢

RapidSX™ is Ucore’s proprietary rare earth separation platform. It is being advanced through commercial demonstration work and is planned for deployment at Ucore’s first commercial processing facility, the Louisiana Strategic Metals Complex in Alexandria, Louisiana.

A North American platform

Ucore is advancing a platform that connects feedstock sourcing, separation technology, oxide qualification, downstream supply chain relationships, and government-supported critical minerals development. The company’s near-term focus is rare earth processing, while its longer-term resource optionality includes the Bokan-Dotson Ridge Heavy Rare Earth Project in Southeast Alaska.
