While our origins are deeply rooted in mineral exploration, it’s important to note that we have evolved into a processing technology company. Our journey from exploration to technology is a testament to our adaptability and vision for the future. We are excited about this new chapter, but we will always value and remember where it all began.
Founded in 2006, Ucore Rare Metals is becoming a leader in Rare Earth Element (REE) processing. The company acquired Innovation Metals Corp. in 2020 and is commercializing its proprietary RapidSX™ critical metals separation technology. Ucore aims to deploy RapidSX™ in its first commercial processing facility (“Strategic Metals Complex” or “SMC”) in Alexandria, Louisiana.
Ucore continues to advance its original Bokan HREE Project in Southeast Alaska at measured paces, without distracting from its immediate focus of rare earth processing.
Ucore is on a mission to disrupt China’s dominance in the rare earth elements (REEs) supply chain by establishing a secure, independent, and domestic REE supply chain in North America. Guided by principles of social and environmental responsibility, Ucore aims to counter China’s control of over 80% of the world’s REE supply, which poses a risk to green technology jobs and national security. The company plans to develop multiple Heavy and Light REE (HREE and LREE) processing facilities, known as Strategic Metals Complexes (SMCs), strategically located across North America. These SMCs will leverage Ucore’s proprietary RapidSX™ separation technology and will be complemented by the long-term development of the company’s HREE resource at Bokan Mountain in Alaska.
