Ucore Uranium Reports 4 Metres Grading 0.64% U3O8 from Channel Sampling at Bokan Mountain
(Vancouver, B.C.) Ucore Uranium Inc. (TSX-V: UCU) is pleased to report assay results from surface channel samples collected at the Bokan Mountain uranium project in southeast Alaska.
A total of seven channel samples were cut into outcrop and existing trenches at I&L Zone, where nine drill holes were completed in 2007. Assay results from the drilling have been reported on October 25, 2007, November 1, 2007, and February 6, 2007. Significant results of the surface channel sampling program are listed below.

“The purpose of this channel sample program has been to step out from the initial 2007 drill area and provide scope and direction for the 2008 drill program. These channel samples are also useful in establishing the dimension of the mineralized surface area and confirm the high grade nature of the uranium mineralization at I&L,” said Jim McKenzie, President & CEO of Ucore. “This, along with the high grade results of our initial few drill holes in 2007, now indicates that the uranium mineralization at the I&L Zone extends over 100 meters of strike length and persists to at least 35 meters below surface. What is more, the mineralized zone remains open along strike and down dip.”
NI 43-101 Compliance
The channel samples were cut with a diamond blade saw at approximately 90° to the strike of the same steeply-dipping vein structure that was tested by the 2007 drilling program along a total strike length of 100 meters. Results reported consist of multiple samples weighted by sample length. True width is estimated to be between 80% and 90% of the reported sample width. John McKenney, CPG, a qualified person in accordance with NI 43-101 and the Bokan Mountain Project Manager for Ucore’s wholly owned subsidiary Landmark Alaska Limited Partnership, has reviewed this press release.
