Ucore Uranium Inc. Announces Board Changes
June 23, 2009 – Ucore Uranium Inc. (TSX-V: UCU), (“Ucore” or the “Corporation”) is pleased to announce that Mr. Wade Dawe, Mr. Jos De Smedt, Dr. Jaroslav Dostal, Mr. Brian MacEachen and Mr. Jim McKenzie have been elected to the Board of Directors for the upcoming year.
Mr. Wade Dawe has agreed to join the Board of Directors and was nominated and elected at the Company’s Annual General Meeting held today, in Halifax. Mr. Dawe is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Linear Gold Corp. and has been an entrepreneur in Canadian mining and venture capital industries since 1994.
Ucore also wishes to announce the resignation of Mr. Stephen Stares as a director of the Corporation and a member of the Compensation Committee for personal reasons. Mr. Stares has been a director of the Corporation since 2006. Management and the Board wish to thank Mr. Stares for his significant contribution to Ucore and wish him success in his future endeavours.
